New Zealand Offshore Services
New Zealand Offshore Services Ltd continues to support Farstad Shipping (Indian Pacific) Pty Ltd. Recent industry publications suggest renewed exploration activity in New Zealand waters.
The the drilling rig Kan Tan 4 has arrived and is drilling. The unit will be drilling for AWE in the Tui field and 2 other wells in two other prospects. The rig is then expected to move onto drilling for Origin in the area north of Taranaki. The rig will be supported by two Farstad vessels and the programme is expected to run for approximately 6months.
Shell Todd are due to complete work over drilling on Maui B and the rig is then expected to move to Maui A for a similar work over programme.
A seismic vessel is currently working for the New Zealand Government acquiring frontier data around the coast of New Zealand and then is expected to move into more commercial work for operators around New Zealand.

NZOS supports UMIMAR operations West Coast South Island NZ
Unimar have chartered the vessel MARSOL PRIDE for geotechnical sea bed coring operations of the South Island Coast. NZOS is the crewing manager for the duration of the project. The vessel is expected to operate for the next 2 months sampling the sea bed looking for minerals.
